The Story
I made this original painting of a rhino named KJ in 2024 as part of my The Spirit Within collection. KJ was born and continues to live at Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. He’s a rare three-horned rhino, a unique trait found in less than 5% of rhinos worldwide. He has a gentle and approachable demeanor, which I reflected using soft pastel colors to highlight his vibrant yet tender personality. Through this piece, I wanted to showcase his unique charm and the rare beauty of his three horns.
The painting is signed on the front, also titled and signed with the year painted on the back, and it is ready to hang.
Size of the painting: 12 inches by 12 inches by 1.5 inches
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
